I painted a door for the annual Art for Recovery event called “Family Ascension.” Below is my interview for the event with a sneak peek of this large art piece.
Art for Recovery is a fundraising event we host each year to raise awareness, to eliminate stigma, and to bring healing to all who are touched by substance use disorders. The visual experience of viewing art is a powerful way to convey feelings and ideas and is a profound way to engage the public around difficult topics. 18 local and renowned artists are creating works of art around this year’s theme: “What Family and Recovery Means to Me”
Art for Recovery Thursday September 7th from 5:30pm to 9:30pm at the Whitney Peak Hotel 255 N Virginia Street, Reno, NV 89501.
