I recently created a custom comic for Conservation Volunteers International Program. The result was a fun and original comic that helped encourage social media engagement. Here’s a testimonial from CVIP:
“Conservation Volunteers International Program, a small non-profit organization, organizes and leads volunteers on conservation projects around the world. One of our more popular trips is to help at Yosemite National Park. Several of our Board members enjoyed Sara Zimmerman’s Unearthed Comics, and noted a related theme to our projects in her light-hearted work.
Recently we commissioned Sara to create a comic that represents how volunteers think differently about the environment in Yosemite after a trip with us. We provided Sara with a general concept, which she greatly helped us refine and improve over a series of phone calls, emails, and sketches.
We are delighted with the final product! When we posted our comic on Facebook, more people saw it and we received more “Likes” than any of our other posts, ever. We are just beginning to use it in our marketing campaign, on postcards and in newsletters, etc. Our audience clearly appreciates the light hearted approach that Sara’s comic provides.
Sara is a delight to work with. She is responsive, communicative, creative, and is happy to listen and incorporate our thoughts. And, as you might guess from her products, she is a lot of fun! The comic was completed quickly and at a reasonable price.
Based on our Yosemite comic, we are looking forward working with Sara in the future to create additional ones for some of our other destinations.
